Score any cold email in one click.
Drag the orange button to your bookmarks bar. Then on any page (Gmail draft, Smartlead, Instantly, Lemlist, your own CRM), select the email text and click the bookmark. You get the same 6-dimension audit in a new tab.
If dragging doesn't work in your browser, right-click the orange button and choose "Bookmark this Link" or "Add to Bookmarks."
How it works
- Drag the orange "Score this email" button to your browser's bookmarks bar.
- Open any draft (Gmail, Outlook, Smartlead, Instantly, Lemlist, your own tool).
- Select the email body text. Or skip selection; the bookmarklet will prompt for paste.
- Click the bookmarklet. A new tab opens at
coldsmith.dev/audit/<id>with your score, per-dimension breakdown, and biggest lever to pull. - Iterate. Re-click after each edit. The score updates live.
The bookmarklet just calls the public /api/cold-email-audit endpoint, same as the form-based tool at /tools/cold-email-audit. Rate-limited to 20 audits per hour per IP.
Why a bookmarklet
Cold-email tools (Smartlead, Instantly, Lemlist) all have draft compose screens. Chrome extensions need installs + permission grants. A bookmarklet works in any browser, on any page, with no permission and no install. Right friction-to-value ratio for a free tool.
